It’s an ideal season to release our Big Fat Blockers, Doubts & Fears so we can be who we are and walk our right paths.
And yet …
When I coach others, sometimes there is a barrier nudging up against their ability to release their blocks.
Underneath a deep wish to let go of what’s holding them back is a fear of feeling light, of being unburdened, of getting free of limitations, of living life playfully.
Here’s a quick exercise for you, if you feel like playing along.
Say to yourself: “It’s safe to feel light and unburdened”.
What feelings and fears come up for you?
Can you play with the possibility that it’s safe to let your burdens go?
Is it time to lean into the discomfort of feeling light, even if it doesn’t feel 100% safe (yet)?
Can you sit with the possibility that your burdens have kept you protected for a period of your life, but now you’re okay to move on without them?
Can you start to imagine a life where you wake up each day feeling light, free and playful?
Can you imagine work feeling like play, and your day feeling in flow?
What would need to be different for these imaginings to be real?
Can you take a tiny, baby step towards your imaginings?
I share these questions with you having answered them for myself, over and over again … enough to take me off the tried, tested but stifling path I was on and pop me onto this one. I don’t know how to define this path. But I know it feels like freedom. And I know it’s mine.
